Milam Takes Silver in 200 IM, Mustang Women Sit in Tenth Place

YORK, Pa. - The Stevenson University women's swimming team started competition at the Middle Atlantic Conference swimming championships Thursday morning at Graham Aquatic Center. The Mustang women currently sit in tenth place 72 points, eight points behind no. 9 Lycoming at the end of day one of the MAC Championships.

Senior Melanie Milam collected a silver medal in the 200-Yard Individual Medley, scoring 28 points for Stevenson. Milam got her hand on the wall at 2:09.20, Jill Bujanowski from Widener collected Gold with a time of 2:08.25. Milam improved her finals time by nearly four seconds when she swam 2:13.57 in prelims. This time is a season-best for Milam. Sophomore Emily Wolff competed in the 'C' final in the 200-yard Individual Medley along song Milam, Wolff placed 19th in 2:22.60, scoring six points for Stevenson.

Junior Alice Ricci placed 32nd overall in the 500-Yard Freestyle for the Mustangs with a final time of 6:01.49.

Relay team of Bailey Hurt, Milam, Wolff, and Zoe Pflieger competed in the 200-Yard Medley relay to finish 10th overall in a time of 1:59.18, scoring 38 points for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs return to the pool Friday, February 14 at 10 a.m. at Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa. for session four and five. Day two of the meet kicks off with the men and women's 400-Yard Individual Medley.
