ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Stevenson women's ice hockey sophomore Nikki Kendrick and freshman KaliJo Zagula were named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) South Player and Rookie of the week, respectively, announced by the league on Tuesday. The Mustangs posted a 9-2 victory over King's (Pa.) in their only game of the week.
Kendrick tied the school record with seven points on three goals and four assists. The sophomore netted her first career hat trick and the 15th in program history. Her four assists rank tied for second in program history. Kendrick scored a goal in each period, including a power-play goal in the second period. She also finished with 10 shots.
Zagula finished with two points, including scoring her first career goal. The rookie netted a third period power play goal while also dishing out an assist on a second period power play goal. Zagula also totaled two shots and a +3 rating.
