Three Mustangs Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

GILBERT, Ariz. - Stevenson field hockey senior Ashli Glatfelter and freshmen Shannon Baker and Jamie Fritz were recognized as recognized as Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction announced on Wednesday.

The Division III Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.

Glatfelter, who has a 4.0 in legal studies, earns her fourth consecutive recognition. Glatfelter appeared and started in all 19 games on defense. She recorded a career-best two assists while making a pair of defensive saves.

An legal studies major, Baker earned a 4.0 in her first semester of college. Baker appeared in five games in her rookie campaign for the Mustangs. She made her collegiate debut in a victory over Notre Dame (Md.) on September 1.

Fritz earned a perfect 4.0 in elementary education in her first semester of college. She appeared in four games in net in her rookie season. Fritz made her collegiate debut in a victory over Notre Dame (Md.) on September 1, totaling 7:58 in net.
