OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson University field hockey team opens its 2019 campaign on Friday, August 30, traveling to Virginia Wesleyan for a 4:00 contest to kick off a 19-game regular season slate.
Following the matchup with the Marlins, the Mustangs return home for four of their next five games, beginning with a tilt on Sunday, September 1 against Notre Dame (Md.). Stevenson will also entertain Washington College (Sept. 7), Catholic (Sept. 10) and Lancaster Bible (Sept. 12) during the run. The Mustangs head to Salisbury on Wednesday, September 4.
Five more games wrap up the month of September, including home non-conference showdowns with first-year program Centenary (N.J.) on Saturday, September 21 and Lynchburg on Tuesday, September 24. The Mustangs begin MAC Commonwealth action on Saturday, September 28 at home against Arcadia.
After road contests at Gettysburg and Widener to begin October, the Mustangs return home on Wednesday, October 9 to close out non-league play against St. Mary's (Md.) at Mustang Stadium. Stevenson's final five contests are MAC Commonwealth games, including home dates against Messiah (Oct. 12), Lebanon Valley (Oct. 19) and Alvernia (Oct. 26).
The four-team MAC Commonwealth Championship will see two semifinal contests on Wednesday, November 6, with the final on Saturday, November 9.
