Wienecke brings three years of teaching and coaching experience
to Stevenson in 2009 where she begins her first season as an
assistant cross country coach.
Most recently, Wienecke has served as an assistant girls' lacrosse
coach at Catonsville High School where the Comets won back-to-back
regional championships in 2007 and 2008. They also won a county
title in 2008 and advanced to the state finals a year after playing
in the semifinals.
Wienecke also serves as a school counselor at Catonsville and
received her masters in education with a specialization in
professional school counseling from Loyola in 2007.
In 2006, she was an assistant girls' lacrosse coach at her alma
mater, Towson High School, where the Generals also won a regional
and county championship and advanced to the state finals.
A 2005 graduate of Hofstra with a bachelor of arts degree in
psychology and a minor in sociology, Wienecke played four seasons
for the Pride's women's lacrosse team where she was a four-year
academic scholar-athlete and a two-time Dean's List honoree. She
was also a member of the IWLCA All-Academic Team and CAA Academic
Honor Roll in 2005.
At Towson, Wienecke played four years of lacrosse and soccer and
participated in track for three. She was named Female Athlete of
the Year as a senior while earning All-Metro honors in
lacrosse.
Wienecke currently lives in Baltimore.
