After leading the Stevenson men's volleyball team to a school record for wins in three of his four seasons as the head coach, Blake joins the women's volleyball team as an assistant coach in 2010.

Blake brings nine years of head coaching experience to head coach Dave Trumbo's squad, including four at the helm of the Mustang men's program and five at Calvert Hall College High School.

In four seasons as the men's head coach, Blake has totaled 61 wins while leading Stevenson to postseason appearances in 2006 and 2009. Last year, the men totaled a school record 20 wins and advanced to the finals of the ECAC Division III South Region Championship.

The Mustangs also finished fifth at the NECVA Western Division Tournament a year ago in the team's first appearance since 2006. On March 1, Stevenson upset Medaille 3-2 after the Mavericks were ranked at No. 15 in the Bison/AVCA Division III Men's Coaches Top 15 Poll on February 17.

Blake also led the Mustangs to the postseason in 2006 when they advanced to the NECVA Championship and finished with a then-school record 15 wins as the team went 15-11.

After struggling to a 9-21 record in 2007 in which the team played 17 of their 30 matches versus top-25 competition, Stevenson rebounded to post a school record 15 wins in 2008, finishing Blake's third season with a 15-17 mark.

In addition to his coaching duties at Stevenson, Blake has been a teacher at Calvert Hall for over 20 years. In five seasons as the head coach of the Cardinals, he led the boys' volleyball team to four MIAA semifinal games and won back-to-back conference championships in 2001 and 2002.

Blake also has coaching experience in football, baseball, basketball and lacrosse at the high school and recreation levels. He also works as a baseball umpire.

A graduate of Towson, Blake and his wife live in Calvert Hall.
