Women's Tennis Drops Season Opener at Catholic

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Stevenson University women's tennis team opened its 2008-09 season with a hard-fought, 6-3 loss at Catholic on Sunday. The Mustangs put up a good fight, but the Cardinals' senior leadership proved too much.

Two of Stevenson's promising freshman took advantage of their first collegiate match to show what they have to offer as freshmen Maura Bernstein (Eldersburg/Liberty) and Izzy Kaizer both picked up their first collegiate wins.

The Mustangs return to the courts on Monday, October 7 when they host Lancaster Bible at 3:30 p.m.
