Mustangs Fall at St. Mary's (Md.) in CAC Quarterfinals

ST. MARY'S, Md. - The Villa Julie College women's tennis team ended its season with a 7-2 loss at St. Mary's (Md.) in the first round of the 2008 CAC Women's Tennis Team Championship. The Mustangs battled bravely against the odds, but in the end, could not produce an upset.

Junior Samm Rasnake (Perry Point/Northeast) and sophomore Megan Henszey (Cambridge/Cambridge-South Dorchester) produce the two victories for the Mustangs at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Last Tuesday, Rasnake lost to Powell, 8-2.

At No. 5 singles, senior Lauren Humphries (Bel Air/John Carroll) battled right to the end before losing the third set in a tie-breaker.
