OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson University men's and women's lacrosse teams open their 2009 seasons at home this Saturday as part of spirited weekend on the Owings Mills campus that features bingo, a pancake breakfast and live bands.
The men host a non-conference contest with Widener at the Caves Athletics Complex beginning at noon before the women face CAC rival Marymount (Va.) at 3:00 p.m.
The weekend gets underway Friday night with the annual men's lacrosse kickoff banquet in Rockland at 6:00 p.m., followed by a BINGO Blowout featuring Wild Stang and the Stevenson cheerleaders.
The event will run from 8-10 p.m., and be held in the bubble next to the Sports and Wellness Center. The cost will be $5 for 20 games with the proceeds benefiting the alternative spring break trip to New Orleans as part of the Katrina Relief Project.
