Cristaldi Leads Mustangs at Green Terror Challenge

Results

WESTMINSTER, Md. - In just his second career race, Stevenson men's cross country freshman Patrick Cristaldi (Laurel/Atholton) posted a top-20 finish, placing 18th in a time of 17:58 at the 5K Green Terror Challenge held on Saturday at Westminster High School.

Cristaldi improved 17 spots over last week's 35th-place finish at last week's Baltimore Metro Invitational.

Meanwhile, freshman Avior Zynda (Woodbine/Century) made his collegiate debut, finishing 26th in a time of 18:45, tying him with Jason Hinkle of York (Pa.).

The two also competed in the 3K race, finishing 24th and 25th, respectively.

Cristaldi and Zynda were the only two Mustangs to compete so they did not garner a team score. Hagerstown Community College won the event with 22 points, 21 ahead of second place York. Host McDaniel placed third with 47 points.

Lancaster Bible's Sean Trott won the individual title with a time of 16:49.

Stevenson returns to competition next Saturday at the Spartan Invitational at John Rudy Park in York, Pennsylvania.
