Spurrier Finishes 37th at CAC Championships
THORNBURG, Va. - Stevenson University men's cross country junior Joe Spurrier (Mt. Airy/Glenelg) concluded the 2008 season with his fastest 8K time of the season en route to a 37th place finish at the CAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Mary Washington Saturday at Indian Acres.
Spurrier finished with a time of 30:56.50 which was over 15 seconds faster than his previous season best of 31:12 set at the Don Cathart Invitational on September 27.
Spurrier's 37th place finish was also six places higher than his 43rd place a year ago when he finished the 8K course in a career-best time of 29:44.58.
