Otto Named CAC Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Stevenson men's soccer freshman Ansger Otto (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) was named CAC Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week on Monday, sharing the honor with Salisbury junior Ben DeLisle.

Otto is the first Mustang to be named conference player of the week since Stevenson joined the CAC prior to the 2007 season.

The team's leading scorer, Otto registered five points on two goals and one assist as Stevenson posted two CAC victories last week to move into fourth-place in the conference standings and secure the fourth-seed and a home game in the first round of the 2009 CAC Men's Soccer Championship.

In a 7-0 victory over Hood on Tuesday, Otto had a goal and an assist before scoring the game-winning, the first of his career, in a 2-1 win at Wesley on Sunday.

Otto leads the Mustangs with 18 points on seven goals and four assists this season.

Meanwhile, DeLisle assisted on Salisbury's only two goals of the week, both game-winners in 1-0 shutouts over No. 1-ranked Christopher Newport and Mary Washington.

Stevenson concludes the regular season at Gallaudet on Tuesday night before hosting Wesley in the first round of the conference tournament on Saturday. Game time is at 1:00 p.m.
