Cheer to Participate in CAC Competition at Gallaudet

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson University cheerleading team will participate in the 2009 CAC Cheerleading Competition on February 21 at 2:00 p.m., at Gallaudet University in the Gallaudet Field House.

The competition is open to all nine schools in the CAC and five schools have committed to participate with the host Bison, including Hood, Marymount, Mary Washington, Stevenson and York (Pa.). Several other schools are considering the opportunity to participate, including Salisbury, St. Mary's (Md.) and Wesley.

The competition will provide an opportunity for everyone to see all the CAC cheerleading teams perform at the same time and in one place. The competition will be judged and there will also be performances by other area cheerleaders.

Other schools, including local Division I programs, have also been invited to perform and give demonstrations.

Admission to the competition is $5 for ages 16 and over and just $1 for those under 16.
