Cheerleading Finishes in Third Place at Terrapin Classic

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - After taking first place at the Rockin' Virginia Open Nationals last month in its first competition, the Stevenson University cheerleading team took home third place in the Terrapin Classic hosted by Spirit Unlimited at the University of Maryland's Comcast Center on Saturday.

The Mustangs placed third in the Collegiate Intermediate division behind the Maryland All-Girl Spirit Squad and Morgan State who finished in second. Montgomery College also performed, but as an exhibition team.

In the Collegiate Advanced division, the Maryland competitive cheer team took first with Fairmont State finishing in second place. The Terrapins' Co-Ed Spirit Squad and Virginia Tech All-Girl team placed third and fourth, respectively, with Fairmont State winning the Judges' Choice Award.
