Mustang Cheerleading Announces Tryouts For 2008-09

STEVENSON, Md. - The Villa Julie College cheerleading team will be holding tryouts for the 2008-09 team beginning on October 15. The cheerleaders performs for men's basketball, various campus events and competes regionally and nationally three to five times per year.

Tryouts consist of performing a cheer, dance, chant, jumps, advanced stunts and tumbling skills (encouraged, but not required). Practices will be three days a week after 4:00 p.m., on weekdays and Sundays. Please schedule all of your weekly classes before 4:00 p.m.

This year, all freshmen and transfers will be REQUIRED to attend the preseason on-campus physicals which will be held Wednesday, July 30 at Caves Sports and Wellness Center. The cost of the physical will be $15 and you will need to get there at 10:30 a.m.

The medical forms may be downloaded here and must be completed and turned in by Friday, July 25.

In order to participate, all forms must be turned in to the athletic trainers and physicals completed before tryouts.
